I had a problem with the strain on the cable. Not unlike a handbrake cable it could have stretched with a couple of forcefull yank releases. I had to take off the cover, loosen the cable eye and make the eye bigger, shortening the length of cable which sorted the problem and gave enough pull on the lever/cable to release the catch.
This was on my old 90 and on the rear forward facing seats but I don't see why this might not be the same with the 110 rear seats. I'll have a look on my 110 later. =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |

Might sound stupid but have you tried pushing the seat down as if locking it back in and pulling the release at the same time

Hi .. yes, I have tried that and jumping up and down on it. The release handle doesn't feel like it's connected to anything. I can only think that the mechanism has broken (cable?) or it is stuck in a nearly open position but not quite released. Somehow I need to manually release it but need to know how.

Scratch my first comment, I can't see a cables on the rear seats but maybe the spring on the lever has disconnected to the mechanism. There are 2 springs on the back pull up and looks like they could easily ping off. ===================================
