Glad to of been a help to you.

The talk website is ok but I can answer once.

It's unbiased and can say what I think which is good.

Hope you enjoy the forum.

Clutch wear
Hello Guys,

Just a quick question for you guys. What are the effects on clutch wear with this feature (i.e holding revs between shifting)?
Does it result in increased wear do you think?

Regards,
Max

Hey all, the delay is put there to 'help' you shift gears... however if you actually know how to drive this makes it a nightmare to shift. lol

Easy solution is to short the two wires going into the clutch switch which would then disable the revs holding itself. makes for an easier car to drive.

I tried this and it was terrible to drive, clutch judder from hell!

Btw, I come from Singapore where it is almost flat everywhere so off road driving is out of my reach.

Hey mice72sg! I am in KL with a 110 DC MY2013. Almost neighbours. Plenty of offroad opportunity if you cross the causeway. Smile

I did this and jeez its a sports car now Laughing honestly its much easier to drive and safer aswell because it cant run off with you.

Easier to drive and also feels quicker as you can change gears faster rather than having to wait for the rev to drop (this was a 2.4 btw) William

Impact on "idle jack"
Anyone who has done the mod - how does this impact the idle jack feature?

When you are in low range first, this feature is supposed to detect clutch pedal out then boost idle revs to around 1000rpm.
(This is apparently done because normal, idle revs in low first are too low for safe descents on steep hills)

Presumably this doesn't work with pedal switch shorted? Proud new owner of a 2013 DCPU (SALLDHSR7DJxxxxxx) - "Manny" (from "Ice Age")

must be different on the 2.2 then, or at least mine, as it really was undriveable when I did this.
