Hi guys, little bit stumped, got a set of recaro sportster's,
also purchased 'tune my defender' seat rails... i have no idea what im doing, also the seat rails powder coat puts land rover's paint department to shame, as seen here are the rails, the problem is acessing the bolts to righten them down... any one got photos or tips? i.e. removing the base and doing something...? ive removed the bases to see but still no help. |

so completly take the whole set up from ontop of the seat boxes, assemble then bolt back together like that?
here's a pic, seat base is still in place but even with it removed, the frame still gets in the way, might completely removed the frame from the seat box but then i dont think it will go back together (have to check how its bolted inside the seat box... |

Remove the seat and seat frame and then re-assemble. The bolts are captive nuts in the seatboxes so there is nothing underneath all done from the top.
You might find you have to take the frame out fix to the seat then put the lot in together and bolt down. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️ |

Sorry if this is stating the obvious but normally you bolt the runners to the seat, and then more seat forward / backwards to bolt to the seat box - should be simple. Obviously I'm missing something 2020 P300 HSE

getting at the bolts is quite interesting, the adapters imo are a terrible design but they were the only ones available, nothing lines up even to a half acceptable measure so its a lot of faffing, you have to install 1 bolt then 3 with the runner at a 30 degree angle only tightening a small amount, then the rear, 2, then back to the front boa bla bla... its a pig.

Hi all,
Does anyone have a step by step of putting the adapters on and then the seat rails on - I can't screw everything from on top. I've got the adapters onto the rails - but bolting the rails to the seat itself is a problem - the handle to move the rails is in the way of the hole for the front bolts. Anyone any ideas??
