We also think that KEWICK GREEN is the only colour for a Land Rover. So much, we painted a 30 year old A Reg 110 the same as the 61 plate USW.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge The 61 plate is my work car - bought from the insiration of Dan's car and the A Reg was re chassised on a PUMA chassis this year and has a 300 TDi and auto box. It is for sale if anyone is interested. Chris Bowler Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

What a beautiful pair you have Chris!
Great-looking early 110, you don't see many that haven't been messed about with styling-wise. Nice! Love the military look on your Puma too... |

Like them both too - that's some serious snorkle fitted to the Puma. What are your thoughts on how it's working out?

She is coming along beautifully - subtle changes, make the right truck. One of the great things about a Defender is that as there are no two alike after they leave the dealer I like the tinted windows and am wondering what percentage you used?

Thanks! A galvanised Brownchurch HD roof rack has been ordered as the next step...
As for the tints, I'm not sure of the percentage tint but it was called 'dark smoke' if that helps. Visibility is still good but it's just enough to hide anything in the rear. |

Sent a few Entreq goodies to the paint shop today for a layer of Keswick Green...
Bonnet hinges: Click image to enlarge and 'Series 3 look' headlamp surrounds: Click image to enlarge I also now have a Brownchurch HD roof rack ready to go on and a Foxwing to then bolt to it. Oh and a snorkel too... Getting there slowly, just need the time to fit everything! |

Collected my freshly painted bits from the paintshop today - didn't think £60 was too bad for this lot (much cheaper than buying the painted Entreq light surrounds):

Thanks for the comments - got it all fitted tonight, must admit I think it's a big improvement over the XS silver plastic stuff (which just looks odd on a Keswick Green one IMO). What do you think to the retro look?:
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I fitted the amber indicators and a black grille while I was at it. The grille will be replaced with a proper galvanised mesh one once I've made it (using a spare SIII Lightweight grille as a donor!). I also bolted on the Entreq hinges - top quality bit of kit - really nicely made... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Brownchurch HD rack going on at the weekend, then snorkel, foxwing and roof tent. That's the exterior mods done then - don't want to over-do it! |
