using a disco1 handbrake is good news, there's lots more of those available.... are they the same part no as the RRC ? (they look very similar)

I'm not sure about the part number but looking at pics of the RRC handbrake the lower part looks identical. I think it's just the plastic handle that is different but I personally think the d1 plastic handle suits the defender better than the RRC one for some reason. Just in case they are different though mine was apparently from a 300 tdi d1 so a later d1, I'm not sure if the earlier hand brakes are the same.

That looks very cool but is there a problem with the OSR wheel? It looks very far forward in the arch Confused Darren

No I just think it the angle in the pic, here's another.

All Series 3 rears are off center of the arch.

Ah, that's better. I had an axle shear the locating pin in the centre of the spring once, meaning that the axle shifted along the spring, and that first picture looked like the same had happened. Darren

Today hopefully will fit my Terrafirma XL wheel arches. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. I spent this morning out int his glorious sun fitting my new seats (that do not have lift out bases) so I also installed a keyed battery isolation switch. Hopefully this will also add a further layer of security.

Now I need to have a word with Tim @ Mobilecentre about a Blue Sea Fuse box and remote battery terminals for charging/jump starting.

Can you get that into an NCP car park, or do you have to partially deflate the tyres?

Well, didn't do much to the defender today, but gathered together the two current Land Rover products for a photo (ready for the arrival of the next one Mr. Green )
