The reason im using this controller is
1 Its very easy to reach and use in the position shown
2 Its easy to fit and connect where shown
3 There is no easy way to fit a column mounted stalk due to the flimsy plastic LR use for the cowling

Option 1 Kit only supplied with detailed fitting instructions inc actual photos of where and what to connect
£360+Vat+Delivered in UK

Option 2 Supplied and Fitted near Gloucester £460+vat

For TD5 is VERY easy to build 4 wires and two buttons

he pins on the ECU will be connected the following way:
Pin 10 - ignition +12V
Pin 11 - switch 1 (set function)
Pin 15 - ignition +12V
Pin 17 - switch 2 (resume function)

Pin 19 - is only mentioned, that you can connect here the available TD5 tachometer, not used for the cruise control

So the cruise control works by supplying ignition +12V to pin 10/15 permanently and the functions are activated by supplying the same temporary to pin 11 or 17.

(thanks to Pete Bell)

For getting the ignition switched +12V (Zuendplus Klemme 15), if I remember correctly, when I had last time my dash off, use the green/white cable at the temperature or fuel gauge in the dash. Put two switches on the dash and run a long cable to the ECU.

RS Components part # 362-9367 for the ECU (big) terminals)

RS Components part # 314-1340 for defender switches

Hi guys,

I go the following reply from Steve @ Conrad-Anderson:

We do have a cruise kit for the new Ford engined Defender however it is not a straightforward plug in to the pedal. When fitting, you will need to splice/solder in the pedal adaptor to the original loom.

Please see attached the schematic wiring and page 27 of the install manual gives you more specific wiring for the pedal.

AP800 Electronic Kit £238.30
CM7 Dash Pad command module £31.91
GCT240 Universal T harness £38.30
Carriage to SA £50

Looks a bit steep for my pocket though Sad

Has anyone managed to find out anything more about the terrafirma cruise control? I emailed 3 different suppliers of terrafrima goods in South Africa and was met with total silence. Funny how if you want to spend money no one wants it????
