Been thinking of doing the same. My tub needs the same reinforcement too. Where was the gas strut from and bracket? Other than that I was thinking of getting a leather strap like off an old car. I got mine from MUD Stuff a while back, but only just got round to fitting it. They don't actually sell the one for pre 2002 doors any more, but they do sell this one for post 2002 doors. Link 4x4 Overlander (Site sponsor here, username: leeds), sell the correct one for the pre 2002 doors, and at a very good price. Nakatanenga Pre 2002 Door Stay An engine to TDi for! Ive been hovering over the 'buy' button on that rear door trim for months, was going to get one this month but Ive splashed out on new tyres . But when fitting them I discovered I need new discs. And pads. :blub: Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Had 8500 on the clock when I bought it so 28500 is next, then 33500 (my mileage of 25k).

Got round to finally fitting the DB adjustable towbar to the 110. Had to weld up some brackets onto the tank guard, as it was in the way for the lower bracing arms to reach up to the chassis rails.
seems pretty sturdy now.
Where abouts were you Jeremy? |
