Took the landie for the annual MOT. Passed with no advisories which was nice!! Always a worrying time of year.

not today but Tuesday, took the 90 for its first service and found out that in a few months going to need more warranty work done to replace the rear shock bushes and the Steering drag ling ball joint but normal Defender issues, but hey no cost to me............ got to love warranty Thumbs Up

Well I've just done what most of us say we're going to do but never get round to Whistle

I've just swopped my mud terrains back to the standard road based tyres that came with it. And I HATE IT!.
Still I've got a fair few miles to travel over the weekend and the MT's have started to wear a bit fast especially one, it's wearing evenly across the tread but it's 5mm less than 2 of the others even though they were all fitted at the same time Confused After running on 235's for 12 months then on 265's for the last 18 months it looks pretty pathetic on the original 7-50/16's. At least it should cut down the amount of crap on the sides Rolling Eyes The sooner my contact comes up with the take offs he's promised me the better Rolling Eyes

Installed the rocksliders again, after I had them galvanised and powder coated. After only 2 years factory finish they were rusting. Hope this lasts longer Wink

Went away for a weekend trip to Wales for a paddle and camping, loaded up and packed all the food and gear for the weekend, left home in fab weather and toodled along looking forward to a great time ...
But only made it to Exeter when the clutch went ... Big Cry

I think it went when I went to pass a caravan whilst climbing the ramp onto the motorway - going from 55 to 65 in short notice ... Shocked

Maybe I put my foot down a tad hard going up the hill into a 50 mph headwind with a 22" canoe strapped on the top and all the camping kit, food, water etc in the wagon .... Big Cry

Only towed a boat from Devon to Scotland ... not a regular thing with me ! Embarassed

Well after a couple of short trips this evening and a club meeting I've come to the conclusion that after the school run the 7-50's are coming off! The ride is crap and I can't get over the amount of understeer I'm getting! I've now found out tonight that the take-offs supply has dried up, the workshop they were coming from have been passed over in favour of ATS Big Cry so it looks like I'll just have to bite the bullet and get some new ones.
