replaced my 3rd brake light with a LED unit.
Usually one has to be bored to death to care about sth. like this, I guess. But for me it´s fun and improving skills on dealing with aluminium and the TIG machine. The two standard brake lights are the LED units from BoltOnBits. The bracket is made out of aluminium and no beauty but the best I could make yesterday. The black paint wasn´t carefully applied. It will be hid by a cover anyway. This one is called "Serie 135" I think the manufacturer is called ledautomotive or similar. Bought it from local ebay. keywords "LED Rückleuchten Kombination. Bremslicht, Rücklicht" http://stores.ebay.de/Verkehrssicherungen-...34.c0.m322 I now have 5.5Amps flowing to the lights when the brake pedal is depressed. EDIT: it´s 5.5Watt. Amperage is just 0.46A Doesn´t help anyone except the brake light switch. |
