No problem, I'll give you my honest appraisal. I'm very fussy!
Had a brief look at their Man Made and it did look awesome. Will get some pics. Cheers Mike |

Well, I picked the car up yesterday having had it Dinitrolled, lowered and new Konis fitted all round.
First impressions of the chassis treatment are that they did an ok job. I've found a couple of small areas that they missed which is really annoying and I'm not totally convinced the inside of the chassis is completely done. I might "top it up" myself to complete the job but I shouldn't have to. Overall then, an ok job but I'm not bowled over. The lowering kit however is fab! Mike |

So from your first post they were tell porkies "They charge about £500 all in and promise a careful and thorough job. We'll see." |

I'm afraid I've had very similar experiences with 'professional' rust treatment providers (NOT this particular one). Pretty mediocre job - looks good when you pick it up because it's all black underneath, but doesn't hold up very well. Mine has a fair few bits that have been missed or just given a 'dust' of product. I'm also not convinced that the insides of the doors and bulkhead were done, which they were meant to be.
Ultimately, if you've got the time, the space, and the gear - you're much better off doing it yourself. You're the only person who will pay that much attention on your own vehicle. Although I'm beginning to feel this way about a lot of vehicle/garage services. I haven't found many that do a perfect job. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |

If you've found areas yourself that are not done & have paid £500 I would take it back. I would be very tempted to take the front bumper off (an easy job) to see if there is any inside the chassis. You shouldn't be topping it up yourself. |

Too true ![]() What really bugs me is paying high labour rates and getting kids doing the work who TBH do not give a toss. |

^^ Too true, what you have to realise is and i say it to everyone who walks through my doors is that nearly all businesses work on an hourly basis hence the rush. I would rather spend an extra 3 hours of my time to get it right as my labour doesn't owe me anything

As suggested, I will be taking the front bumper off to have a proper look at the chassis internals. if they are not done, it will go back to them and I'll make sure everyone is made aware of the shoddy quality of their work. Lets hope they did do what they say though.
I'll also report back if the chassis is treated internally as it should have been. Chris, sorry, I only took one shot of the "Man Made" but they have just launched a new website: tunemylandrover.com (I think) and there;s lots of images on there. |

Excellent advice ![]() DIY is the way to go, that way you only have yourself to blame if bits are overlooked and the bulkhead or rear cross member turn to dust after a few years - plus you won't have to believe the sales BS ....from whatever the source. This is not a difficult DIY job, I bought a decent compressor and a dinitrol pack all for circa £400.
The hard part is getting the vehicle clean, the spraying is easy and enjoyable. Very little mess with the Dinitrol system. Killer seems to offer a good alternative at a fair price. These £500 to £800 waxoiling sessions seem to promise a lot and deliver little. Steve ![]() Discovery 3 HSE BMW 330i Coupe |
