Leaking!
My Puma leaked from the windscreen seal as well. Have mentioned this before but had two windscreen replacements last year Autoglass said that with Defenders the windscreen seal lower edge is a known problematic area. When removed I could see what they meant, on the outside the amount of cr4p that accumulates there is amazing, at a year old the water and dirt sitting in there was a real 'eye opener.' Eventually either crud build up and/or corrosion will allow water in. The only cure is sealant. They cleaned mine down and applied sealant before refitting the screen. Result - no more water dripping from under the dash!

!$%^&*
Had a bit of fun with the kids plowing thorugh snow burms in a parking lot, until I took on a burm that was a bit to high for the 110...and you guessed it, got high centered!!!
Half an hour with a snow shovel and some serious rocking back and forth and we were free. Oops, total dumb rookie mistake! oh well, it is still a great vehicle even if the driver is a nit wit Whistle 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately)

Snow and Hills
Went down this hill last saturday, it's way steeper than the photo. Set off through a few drifts at the top no problem, came to this bank in low first and set off sledging, totally out of control 150' drop one side, spun round a few times until eventually the front wedged itself in a snow bank. Wife was screaming I was shouting Rolling with laughter . Wife bailed out, I got lined up and thought I'll get back up as the rest of the bank below looked equally as bad. Set off got half way up spun out and promptly slide back down again pirouetting next the drop off. Shocked managed by shunting backwards and forwards between sliding to get the front end pointing down hill with the bumper resting in the snow bank. A jap type 4x4 came up the bank flat out and made it up Evil or Very Mad
Anyway spent an hour gritting the bank and managed to get down by using the ditch at the side off the road Thumbs Up
Oh nearly forgot when we where at the bottom saw the Jap 4x4 come back over the top, spun round and round stuffed the front end into the hard snow, his wife got shouting at him, promptly fell on her arse and slid down the bank Rolling with laughter

So don't take for granted you're ok in a 4x4

Riveting Stuff!
What was more traumatic - Having the missus bawl you out or balancing precariously over a 150' drop?
Riveting read Willy, probably would have filled my breeches and the cab to boot.

Laughing

Was exciting as last week's Silent Witness! Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Farndale bank, from the Hutton le Hole to Castleton road. I was going to meet RLD and Border Rover at the Trekoverland HQ, prior to having a session with RLD, Border Rover and spouses at the Lion Inn Blakey Thumbs Up

It's not a nice feeling being out of control but certainly gets the adrenalin pumping, did have a bit of a shake on for a while. Told the wife she would feel good all day after the adrenalin buzz, she promptly punched me Rolling with laughter

You can see the chewed up snow at the top of the bank, then where i got it straightened out and came down.

Only damage was bent both rear mudflap mounts under, other than that the winch bumper and rear NAS step and spare wheel saved me. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

Wife needed a round bayle of Hay fo the ponies..Sankey was behind the horsebox that needed a jump start..So off came the rear canopy and off i went. The big round bayle fitted nicely in the back of the DC pickup area... Putting Dreams on Drives at JLR Solihull..

Netherlands 2003 Defender 90 Td5 PU Caledonian Blue
Put the analog odometer from the 1984 90 in the TD5 and changed the right hand door window guides. Had to use the old window again as I could not use the TD5's window regulator as the whole inside off the doors are different. It's not perfect yet I need a new window regulator as some teeth are a little worn Whistle .

Still more work to do for it's first Dutch MOT as a 1984 (tax free) Td5. Roel
