Is this when the engine is under no load ?
Like when you are at a constant speed not accelerating and not decelerating. Regards Pete |

Yes that's right Pete, its at around 1900revs 4/5/6th gears at a constant speed without accelerating so around 40/50/60 mph depending on gear. It's just been into Land Rover to have some swivel seals replaced and they said they couldnt find anything wrong with the engine. |

I may be wrong but from the experience i have had on this engine and the transit van its self tome it sounds like the EGR actuation problem which at the moment is been addresed by Ford and i hope soon landrover.

Pete, I had one of the EGR blanking plates fitted to my 300 Defender before this and it definitely improved things. Does fitting an EGR blanking plate = a healthier engine with no detrimental effects? PS where can I find the EGR on this engine? Last edited by mrwoo on 6th Jun 2008 5:12pm. Edited 1 time in total |
