It wont remap on the early ecu with a MSB part number. the nanocom will give you read and clear fault codes on ABS if fitted and the engine ecu. it will also do injector codes and immobliser security etc.
On the BBS web site it gives a full brake down of what it covers. If you want a remap i can change the chip inside your ecu for a new mapped chip which is the same as remapping the newer ecus in reality. Pete |

Hi Pete....once supplied with a new chip from you can I then play around, or is it an EPROM that needs reprogramming by you, next question, can I replace the ecu with a more modern one that does allow me to remap? JD |

Hi
Its a EEprom which is OTP, one time program only. the nanocom does not give the option to play arround with mapping even on the later ecu as it does not give you mapping change options. it reads and writes that it but does not offer adjustments inbetween. Adding a later ecu will let you reprogram it with the nanocom but as said you can only write a pre modifyed file as it dose not give you option to make internal changes your self. unless you are going to create your own tuning files their is little gain for you to fit a new style ecu just for that reason only. Hi Pete....thanks for the info, if I post my ecu to you, can you remap it and also look for any fault info, or does the unit need to be in the car for that? Also what is the cost for a remap? |

I can do the remap/chip no problem via post, the faults i cant teston the bench as id need the car connected for that. Tuning is 295inc vat +return shipping costs.

Do you need my ECU for that, or is it a default EEPROM for all 1998 defender TD5s? Which remap is that also Regards JD |

I would need the ecu here on the bench to solder a new chip inside it to match your needs.

Do you do a stage 1 and stage 2 for the defender 90 TD5 1998? |

Ian does a good retune, (as does BAS.) just don't hold your breath waiting for a response.

Yes we can offer what ever stage you require to match your cars modifications. IRB also can do it with our chips for the older ecus. Pete Last edited by bell-auto-services on 16th Apr 2013 3:48pm. Edited 1 time in total |

look at the part number on the end, if it starts NNN its late, if MSB early.
