Ok for all those that are interested I have just finished fitting the rear slotted and drilled discs to the 110 and new Delphi pads.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Also new pad retaining pins and springs too. The old ones had been in under a year and were already badly worn. Also some interesting wear on the leading edges of the pads which suggests that the pads were contacting with the discs... The new rear pads came with anti squeal shims, never had them supplied with pads before, guess we'll see whether they make a difference... Test drive later on... Came across a RTC and got stopped by the Police in the road. BMW across the road bonnet smashed into the hedge and all caved in and the airbag gone off. Another car involved too but couldn't see much... Seemed everything was okay and didn't seem like anyone was injured. (Luckily) Too much speed wet road surface and bends. GBR

Very beautiful Steve
definitely safari 5000 suits more than the ''modern'' VUB500890 to a defender!!! Steve, are they good enough? www.newfoundland.gr Last edited by pouf on 12th Apr 2013 8:33pm. Edited 1 time in total |
