Some times (randomly) when the defender is in Idling the revs start to drop from 800 to 700-600 RPM in a 1 second cycle. That doenst stop the motor, but not feel very comfortable. If you have the bad luck to try to take off when the iddle is low the engine stops.
Any tought of the cause? Thanks Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge Last edited by Eduardo on 24th Apr 2013 10:40am. Edited 1 time in total |

On a 2.4 or 2.2?
Fuel pickup issue? Fuel pump? Whenever I get this type of issue, I chuck in some diesel cleaner in case there are contaminants in the tank/pump. Forgot to say, take a video and post it to YouTube and we can then tell what's potting. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Yes, All of them. But will be remaped during the weekend... In my case the problem started around 2 weeks ago. Cheers Eduardo MY 2007 110 SW PUMA 2.4: Big Fog of 64' MY 1994 Jayco 1207 Folding camper: "El Tremendo" Click image to enlarge |
