Decided 'To hell with it!' Braved the elements and fitted the steering guard I purchased from Chalky! Froze me 'nads' off but think the effort was worth it.
Glynparry may also recognise the aforementioned item! Thanks Glyn and Chalky for pulling out the stops to advise and send me appropriate instructions to fit! By my reckoning a year max and it will be up for sale again! (Doubt that at this juncture). [/img] If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Where's your front recovery point, Cider Boy
I fitted a new steering guard a couple of months a go and hard to believe but I Dented it first time out, it's a solid piece of kit as well. Looking Original Member Pie n Pea Club. 110 HCPU Tipper |

Standard loops only i'm afraid. Gutted whilst underneath noticed the bl00dy paint finish on the underside of my bumper is shot and flaking off. Will be looking to have it sorted or swapped out under warranty.
Bet you too were incensed at denting yours first time out. Must have lost momentary concentration was there a southern chick hillwalking in the vicinity perchance? Admittedly I had to do a bit of 'Googling.' quite partial to a bit of 'woolly bundle of joy' myself, however, two legs do it for me a nicely roasted d'Everberg floats my boat! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Fitted my goldfish winch and bumper, as suspected the bowyer winch bumper isn't compatible with the defender soft a-bar so I need to buy another one, anyone know if mantec are the ones fitted as OEM, or does the britpart one do the same job?
Bowyer bumper will be for sale as soon as I figure out which one I need. Job was straightforward enough, plenty spare cable to go once around the battery box to the cut off switch. Mantec plastic jobby also fitted, I have to be honest I was bricking it about drilling the pristine (under the salt coat) bodywork but it was dead easy. Glad I removed the windscreen trim inside because there's a nice bunch of wires tucked in there that could oh so easily have been drilled. All in about 3.5 hours work, big apologies to the citroen dealership where my brother works for the land rover sized pond of snowmelt left on the workshop floor. Off to play in the snow tomorrow |

Nice vid.
I was out the Northants 4x4 Response Team taking medical staff on their rounds. Boring but worthy. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
