Spent two hours under the TD5 cleaning the unused bolt holes on the diffs where the QT diff guards fit.
Half way there, may have to get a tap set or put a slice in a bolt to clear the rest of the rubbish out. 12 hour shift Sunday so it will have to go onto next weeks to do list Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Gave her a soapy scrub and jet wash (though won't put pics up, not until she's had her xmember sorted), then went for a drive. Parked up at home, but went for another drive two hours later... And, you know what? I might go for another drive right about now. It is the weekend, after all! Geoff

Trip to Aviemore went well but 6yr old daughter was sick all over middle row of XS seats . So what did I do today ? Stripped out both leather trim seats 2 + 1 , jet washed the carrots off and filled the bath with hot soapy dettol water , both seats completely submersed and soaked . Squeezed water out and allowed to drain . Sprayed mechanisms with WD40 and sat up on the AGA . Yep ! I can still smell sick . Will let you know if I can get them back in as easily as they came out . 2.2 110 XS

I drove mine to the 4x4 show at Donnington to help Brendan set stuff up. Was good to meet some old friends and new.
I made my peace with Matt, of FCX, because he bought Lara... Though his green 130 caught my eye There is lots of nice kit there |

Back from Nordkapp, safe and sound. Absolutely no problems at all with the truck.
Drove over 6000kms, and 5000 of them on ice... the cooper discoverer snow tyres were great, we did not install the studs in the end, or use the chains, this is essentially a road-trip. even at -32c the tdci was warm/hot inside. we achieved our goals ... 1. drive to nordkapp 2. see the northern lights 3. camp in the arctic circle 4. from our roof tent, watch the northern lights we also saw reindeer, elk and 2 wolverines, and made some new friends! 90gb of photos, we go-pro'd the whole journey, they are downloading now .... |

Off road driving day.
Put it on its side but amazingly NO dents, scrapes or damage whatsoever - miracle! Then did a bit of hill winching! Lots of fun! Andy. |

Gave mine a thorough test last weekend. (Paignton via Mendip and back.) It works very well through my heated screen. The satnav graphics are excelent and large enough to see without my reading glasses, which is a blessing since, at full volume, the verbal instructions can't be heard above 40 mph. The MemoryMap OS snail trail is permanently on when in MM mode but is easily deleted if you don't want to keep it. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. |
