All good - cheers Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

The test version of the app I've uploaded today is pretty much a "release candidate" so unless any bugs are found or new features requested it's pretty much how the first App Store version will be. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

Sorry if I missed it, but for which tracker is this iPhone app? Seems very interesting to be able to control it with an app instead of composing text messages with commands etc. Cheers, Vincent 1959 Polynorm 1/4 Ton Trailer, Olive Drab Green (sold) 1970 M416 Military Trailer (Camping Trailer Conversion), Epsom Green (sold) 1975 Series III 88 V6, Light Green (sadly sold) 1996 Defender 110 CSW 300 Tdi, Epsom Green (sold) 2000 Freelander 1 TD4 3-drs, Silver (sold) 2006 Freelander 1 TD4 5-drs Facelift Automatic, Tonga Green (sold) MySite |

It's for the type pictured at the top of this topic... The app still uses text messages, it just creates and formats the text messages for you. They come under various guises but are normally have model numbers TK102, TK103, TK104, TK105 or TK106. OK, thanks. I have an other brand tracker with different command codes, I assume the command codes are not programmable? Cheers, Vincent

They aren't at the moment but if you want to point me at a manual for the one you have or send me the codes I can always add a "device type" to the device definition that would allow you to choose the type of device so it can generate suitable commands. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/

Ok, my tracker arrived so will be playing with Dave's app soon.
I'm looking for the best deals on a SIM. GiffGaff do a unlimited, Text only, sim for £5/month. I use GiffGaff in my phone already, so know the coverage is good - they use O2 as the network. Is a "text only" sim all I need for these trackers..? Cheers Simon |

Yes, unless you want to use the voice surveillance function - then when you call it, it acts like a normal mobile phone.
£5 a month sounds good. I'm paying 10 Euros for the same in Germany. Similarly, mine has unlimited SMS but also a phone-call function that is charged (still cheap though). The number of times I call in surveillance mode should be very small. Tell someone you love them today because life is short. I wondered about the voice monitoring, but I thought the places I'd hide the tracker in would preclude it picking up any voice sounds anyway.
Have you used voice monitoring in anger, or just tested it..? Cheers Simon |

I hid it in a colleague's office for a while, if that's what you mean. Felt rather naughty actually
*Edit* told him afterwards (damn my guilt complex) - luckily he's a friend too Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Actually, just checked and the deal includes free GiffGaff to GiffGaff calls so I can also use the voice function from my phone to the tracker.
