Hi all,
I have just purchased one of these http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003XDN...&psc=1 It seems to be a great bit of kit for the money, seems ridiculously cheap. There are a number of wiring options which some of you knowledgeable guys may be able to advise on, like a lot of these devices it has a remote cut off via a relay. Which single wire could you safely cut in a 2010 defender to bring the vehicle to a halt in a safe manner - no loss of braking/steering? The instructions show a cut in the fuel pump supply but isn't the defender fuel pump engine driven? Also, it has a connection to the door switch either + trigger or - trigger, which should I use. To be honest if neither of these functions work then I wont be too concerned as I can still set a movement alarm or battery loss alarm. Chris 2010 Defender 110 Station Wagon, Santorini Black. |

How do I know this is a trusted site or organisation? No info whatsoever, and I have to send my username, password and imei number to whom? <paranoia_mode>May be "they" locate your Defender with these data, and then come and get it...</paranoia_mode> Cheers, Vincent 1959 Polynorm 1/4 Ton Trailer, Olive Drab Green (sold) 1970 M416 Military Trailer (Camping Trailer Conversion), Epsom Green (sold) 1975 Series III 88 V6, Light Green (sadly sold) 1996 Defender 110 CSW 300 Tdi, Epsom Green (sold) 2000 Freelander 1 TD4 3-drs, Silver (sold) 2006 Freelander 1 TD4 5-drs Facelift Automatic, Tonga Green (sold) MySite |

You have the choice to buy through the Defender2.net Group buy at £119.95 delivered
http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17576.html Or you can buy through the Skytag website (as Merlin has) using the code as above at £124.99 As long as you get your Defender protected it makes no odds to me |

It's been a while but just to let everyone know, the TKController app now has it's own web site and a rough road map in place for it's future versions. If anyone has a device it doesn't support yet or wants to suggest new features etc... leave a comment on the web site.
http://tkcontroller.org I'll be creating a pro version, probably during the christmas and new year break, if anyone fancies signing up as a beta tester, use the contact form. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

@davew - Hi Dave, that looks like a handy little gadge...
Does it, or will it, work with SkyTag... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |

No, it only works with the cheap SMS based units. They only cost around £20 plus the cost of a PAYG sim so are often used in addition to other security.
One way I've seen them used is as a cheaper alternative to Skytag's "stockade" system - use the cheap SMS GPS unit for stockade/movement alerts that you can define yourself and pay the cheaper monthly fee to Skytag for their unit. The cheap one can also act as a "diversion" making it easier to find than the Skytag and giving any would be thieves a false sense of security when they find it. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

@Crafty1980 - Approximately twice the price (but only if you take up the Group Buy price on SkyTag)...
But if you check out the Cobra site their price is installed and it has a deal more functionality... Rog... The GREEN One... MY2016 Urban Truck Build Thread - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40548....al |
