Help - Indicators have died!
Got in yesterday and nothing happens when indicators turned on either left or right. Hazards work just fine.

I looked in the manual but there doesn't seem to be a fuse for them unless im blind.

Anyone else had similar before i call out LRA ?

cheers

Pom

I think your blind! Fuse im sure is the same as the brake circuit (shows you there is a problem there) - ill go and check, but im almost sure. This must be old defender!

Update

Fused at 31 and 21 according to the wiring diagram - but your right it doesnt show it in the manual, as they are just the hazard switch fuse...have you tried that Mike

If its a puma the indicator fuses are under the drivers seat, if they blow straight away again check the bulb holders at the rear are not full of crud and shorting out, Also under dash in other fuse box check it indicator relay has not wiggled out a bit not making contact. If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

31 and 21 are hazards not indicators and per my first post the hazards are working fine.

thanks anyway.

LRA are only an hour away so will see what they say and report back.

cheers

Would you like the wiring diagram?? They say hazards but they are wired to indicators Thumbs Up

It then goes via the hazard switch to header k109 and then to the idicator Mike

Having said that it could be anything...indicators are over-rated anyway! Mike

LRA are having a look as we speak. IT is a weird fault as the central locking doesnt flash the indicators but when you press the hazards they work!

Will update when its fixed.

and the verdict - bloody water in the front indicator!

Will be taking the tip to vaseline all the bulb holders.

Big thumbs up for LRA though, 1 hour response, friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. No why cant dealers employ these guys!

I have had the same issue a few weeks ago. Took it to land rover and they said the would have to strip the whole car which would take 2 days and they would be charging me £70 per hour for the electrician !!! There is alot of condensation in my lights so im wondering if this may be the problem after having so much snow laying on the car ?

Did you just dry it out and it started working properly again ?

thanks
