Liam
I hope you get sorted. the only advice I can give you is it would appear my heat shield has been causing me a load of grief. Probably nothing to do with your issues but all I can say is for the sake of a few seconds makes sure the whole of the turbo heat shield assembly is secure. good luck |

Caterham,
During the clutch change the down pipe/cat came off and back on. The bolts are all present and tight. Thanks though! |

Quick answer is yes - Do you get it at other times ie starting from cold (that was when mine was most noticeable)

WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOO! Sorry, can't contain myself!
Short story, No3 and No4 injectors were loose, and bouncing up and down. Tightened them down and all is good. So be aware! Thanks for the tips guys. Let there be snow! |

Hi Caterham,
Cheers, I'm well pleased. I didn't tighten it myself but I believe that it is one 8mm bolt per 2 injectors. If you remove the plastic cover then it should be obvious. Be careful not to over tighten them though as the head will be made of alloy. Hope you find the root of your problem soon. Cheers. |

On my way to check my injectors........but gents,I have similar noise coming from the engine. But as soon as I engage my clutch(step on the clutch), the engine runs lovely.Engine also seems to run good on a cold start.

should really fit new copper washers on the bottom of injectors and have the injector sets checked , esay to remove injectors . if seats are damaged you may need I seat cleaner its like a long reamer bit like a water tap washer reamer .only needs normally a couple of turns to get good seat back .
if there blowing they can build up carbon under the washer and will never seal 100% just by tighten down if there quite loose you get misfire or not so loose a chuffing sound and smoke from oil filler cap as puma washers are internal |
