I have had a good look through the various threads on spacers but didn't see what I was looking for so apologies for raising this again. Whilst trooping round Billing with the style guru in tow (Mrs H) and inspecting all the nice chunky 110's there Mrs H has come to the conclusion that our new 110 utility doesn't look 'chunky' enough compared with the show trucks (and indeed our old 90).
I have come to the conclusion that its due to the width of the wheelbase, the 90 and 110 both have 235 all terrains but the 90 looks more 'chunky and planted' than the 100, due to the steel modular wheels on it having a bigger offset. I understand that we can rectify this in several ways, including the use of spacers on the 110. (I'm not inclined to replace wheels or tyres at this stage as they are only 6 months old). So the question is - does anyone have before and after pics (especially after) of spacers fitted using standard boost alloys and 235 all terrain tyres (standard Landrover fitment) I appreciate that I'll get a better turning circle which will be handy and possibly a bit more muck up the sides. I see I have missed a few sales of spacers recently so will probably have to buy new but hey ho. If it gives it a more chunky look Mrs H will be happy which is always a good thing

Cheers for that, just what I was looking for. Sounds like spacers would be worth trying, now need to find a good deal on a set.

Thanks for the pics, exactly what I wanted to see. I like the end result, but a bit more than mrs H wants at the moment, the 'with spacers' effect is what we are looking for so thanks for taking the trouble to post the pics

I apprecate this is probably a bit late given the date on the OP but.. were they easy enough to fit, i have some from paddock and will be looking to fit them over the weekend one wheel at a time using the standard jack! Cheers Ben |

If you can fit a wheel, you can fit a spacer. Assuming that you already use copper grease, and a torque wrench for your wheelnuts, the only addition equipkent you will find useful is a bar or block to hold the hub still whilst you torque the nuts holding the spacers to the hub. |

I believe that's the recommended method to avoid the chance of them coming undone (much like the wheels).

Fair enough although i thought that the natural rotation of the wheel naturally tightens the wheel nuts? does this not apply when spacers are envoled?
