My BFG 265*75*16 AT's plus ZU's fitted on the DC have been excellent in the snow
I tried the 90 yesterday that has the same size Cooper STT's and it was not much fun. I think the STT's (muds) would be fine on new fresh deep snow but they don't work for me on the compacted stuff. Sounds about right to me Bob. KM2's on mine great in fresh stuff but compacted icy stuff they are far worse that GG's IMHO. Once they lose grip that's it. I found that out the hard when a moron car driver made me stop on a icy hill and reverse. Next thing I knew I had done a 90 degree slide.. On the mud though and in every other aspect they beat the GG's hand's down every time even on road as far as I'm concerned. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Same on my X-Tech and will be changing to 265-75-16 BFGoodrich KM2 M/T as the best tyre I know for road and offroad and snow  Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated  |

Yep half way up the hill to our house due to abandoned cars I had to stop at which point it did a 180 ' spin
So I just carried on the way I was pointing to the other way in Dare I say it my the Navara with AT2's on never did that But then I've never had to stop half way before So time for winter wheels and tyres I think It's good to be back from the dark side DC110 -2012 Black with black hood and black x-tech FFRR 4.2 vogue Renault traffic auto PT crusier convertible Laika x700 Motorhome |

Hi Sparky,
This is my first winter with the Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2's. I took my 110 out both yesterday (fresh snow) and today (compacted snow) and semi-off road (a rough stony lane, steep in places). I was blown away with the level of grip in all conditions above. Braking was sure and confident. I tried to see how much quick acceleration it was going to take for the TC to kick in and it took a lot of revs in 2nd gear before it finally kicked in. Overall, I am very impressed. It's worth saying that conditions are not exactly challenging where I am in Surrey at the moment so I am reluctant to get too carried away until I use the tyres in deeper snow and icier temperatures. Got these fitted to mine and not experienced any issues - when you say disappointing grip, under what circumstances?

I've had 4 jap pickups ive used for work over the last 10 years and the wife's had 2 jeeps still owning a new grand Cherokee these have all been autos and I've not ever had the doubt in my mind about sliding like I had yesterday in the defender May be I was driving like I was invincible, because it was so good, I was without knowing pushing it a little too hard and fast Not been out today but will give it a go tomorrow It's good to be back from the dark side DC110 -2012 Black with black hood and black x-tech FFRR 4.2 vogue Renault traffic auto PT crusier convertible Laika x700 Motorhome |

they're not chunky and sexy, but are great in the snow ... make sure they are snow-groove ones |
