I was going to use plain automotive carpet, stuck down with a very thin layer of a mastic. That way it fit gets ripped/damaged it is easily removed.
I've yet to pluck up courage to drill more holes in the back to bolt it down. Plus I can't make my mind up if I want it up against the cargo barrier or up against the door. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

Loose laid carpet on top of the anti slip/grip mat which woodworkers etc use.
We have original carpet laid on top. A bit of weight in top and it does not move around much. Tie down points? Consider either cargo tracks in long lengths (£14/m with rings at £7/pair) or in short lengths just big enough for a load ring (£14/2). Alternative is medium weight lash down rings use a large washer behind (£9/6) Brendan |

Rubber matting is cheap, easy to clean and will help keep the noise down.
