Clicking clutch pedal?
Hi guys,

It's prob nothing as the truck drives like normal but when I release the clutch pedal it clicks once and I can also feel it through my foot? Is this normal? as i had not noticed this before?

Try a bit of lubricant on the pedal spring and while you are there check the plastic insert that the spring fits into on the pedal shaft is still in place. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.

If you have the long straight return spring it wears and eventually clicks when the pedal is released. The fix is to buy a new spring as it is the spring itself that wears.

Alternatively you could take the opportunity to fit the spring "upgrade" which also makes the clutch pedal a little bit lighter to use.

I will have a look tonight and see what's going on as it has only done 3200 miles so back to LR if needs be as warranty claim will be going in Thumbs Up

Hi,
I understood that 'spring upgrade' comes already with the TD4? Anybody knows that?

Not sure, it defo came as standard on late 300tdi Defenders and then reverted back to the straight spring for TD5s...

Mine did the same, very annoying bit of spray grease around the pivots and the spring cured it DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Yes it does. The spring I'm on about is easy enough to find, it's circular and locates in a notch just above the pedal pad itself. Steve.
