It does look nice, I do want one but haven't been able to justify the cost yet so have one of these for now.
Works well, but isn't backlit and doesn't look as smart... |

Yes, the mobile centre one does look smart if a little expensive (You get what you pay for) My issue was I was looking on E-bay and it's mostly Chinese rubbish on there. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

These look good. Not cheap but I do miss not having one in the defender.
Anyone fitted one to their defender. Keen to see an install and where the sensors need to be put Defender 110 County SW Disco 3 HSE Freelander 2 HSE - SOLD going back to a car www.lothian4x4response.org |

^^^ I saw that too earlier but one thing concerned me and that was where to put it without it getting in the way. If it got in the way too much chances are I'd never use it then as it'd get annoying. KEEP CALM AND Drill ON

Maybe above the rear view mirror, where the ash tray is on the dash (assuming you have a TD5), or over to the right above the dash binnacle? 1999 Defender TD5 110

To be fair I had a similar one in my TD5 and always thought it looked a bit cheap and nasty and really out of place. It was also really sensitive to voltage changes, resetting itself if there was a surge of any kind such as using the winch.
The check temp looks much more OE when installed The other one I linked to looks OK in a puma on the blank side panel next to the centre dash but had to be placed carefully to avoid showing the cable (i wont be keeping it long term but replacing it with a check temp when funds allow so didn't want to drill any holes). |
