Exhaust Manifolds
In the Jan edition of LRO I cam across the below image of a custom exhaust manifold which seems to be set up for an equal length.

I wondered if anyone on here had any knowledge of this particular setup? Is this Alive tuning?

I am confused to the retention of the plastic air pipe which is known to collapse when a high volume of air is required. Especially when the standard airbox etc has been removed. It's nothing a bit of Alloy off ebay couldn't have done.

Also surprised to see and open filter in the engine bay which not only affects the offroad ability of the car but is pulling in warm air from the very warmest place in the engine bay.

Does this flow any better? Does it reduce EGT on the outer 2 cylinders?

Mine had an open filter like that when I first had it, I didn't find the performance any better, but the noise especially when the bulkhead flaps were open was awful.

Yes it is a Alive set up, but i think if you have a word with Gary you will probably find out that its not the finished version of what hes doing. I may be wrong however lol.

Think most of the tuning companies do updated Td5 exhaust manifolds. Talk to Alive, if they don't the chat with Ian @ IRB

These are the IRB ones, not sure if Ian is selling them still.

It's not an equal length design but a better flowing tubular manifold that does not require and turbo relocation or changes to the exhaust down pipe.
