Rear Light connectors
Is it possible to buy the part which plugs into the standard rear/side/brake lights? They would need to have leads coming from them to connect to wiring on 90, so the plug part with fly lead attached (same as on a 2011 puma).

Reason being I swapped mine out when new for a set of Mobile Centre led ones so I have a set of standard lights cluttering up the garage, and my 1989 90 needs some new ones as a couple are corroded inside, so if I could use them (assuming they fit) it would get them used for something and save having to buy some more.

The lights I need to change are the stop/tail ones (at the moment anyway, might just swap the whole set over.

I'll give Tim a ring on monday then, I'm after the oval shaped ones. Hopefully he'll have some - trouble is he also sells the led headlights as well Whistle and he's a silver tongued salesman!

Just find your local automotive place, that supplies Durite stuff.


The 3 pin male "econoseal" plug that LR use is part # 0-012-43, and the female side is 0-012-53. cost about £3 each.

Bit of soldering and you're done.

Whenever I do these plugs (quite often), i just tin the end of the wire, lay it into the connector pin, and bend over the lugs to hold the wire in place.

Then heat up with the soldering iron, add a little more solder, and the whole lot melts into an excellent connection.

I don't usually bother to try to clamp the rubber seal into the first set of lugs, just push them up into the plastic plug/socket once the connector pin is in place.
