have written about mine and repair/measurement values on here somewhere, sure the search function will bring it up.
Anyway the Engel is basically 3 things: - Random stuff: Temp sensor, ventilator if turbo model, switch panel: these seem to work from your explanation - Compressor: works or is broken, you can measure the resistance(look for my posts, i have the correct values in them) - Control unit: 1 piece replacement, around 280£ and most common failure. Gas is the normal reflex of everyone but never heard of one actually leaking.(but most all of them being suspected at first to have a gas leak) FYI Engel has good worldwide aftersales, even if 20 years out of warrantee and with international equal parts pricing. Ask australia direct and they'll point you in the right direction (a lot of their service partners are not even advertising as such, so hard to find them yourself) 2cents only ![]() |

I would change the 12 volt power lead as these can fail. Mine did even though I thought was ok and problem was fridge, but was sent new lead and all then ok.

I could be worth checking to 12v lead first but if it runs and cools on 230v and not on 12v then it's a power supply fault.

I plag it in my friend car and it works ok .
![]() So, the problem is in my car - or the battery or the line from the battery to the fridge. Thanks I will update. |

Yep, that will be wiring or battery
fyi, the 12VDC electronic parts are also necessary when running on 220, iow if the fridge works on 220 the electronics are functional and should also work on 12VDC I don't have a display model so don't know what messages mean but now reading your post again it looks as "B" on the display means Battery, doesn't it ![]() But as said it can be wiring also, Engel has some clever system measuring your wiring. Can be your earth connection is getting worse and this triggering the fault code. (as all was working before) |

The problem was the fuze wire that goes out from the battery, it was too thin. Now it works grate.. ![]() |
