Crystal headlights, re-wire through relays, 100/80 watt H4's (suitably modded with grinder as you can see the 100/80 through the crystal lens).... Whistle

I used IPF headlights before getting Led ones, thought they were better than the crystal ones.

Factory fit is Wipac glass (read easily smashable ! ) lights and Osram bog standard 55/60 w bulbs.

As regards set up I've not long done a search on this and as far as I gather this is the process:

1 - Measure the distance between the centre of each headlight

2 - Measure the distance from the road to the centre of one of the lights.

3 - Set the headlamp adjuster to zero.

4 - Park the Defender 4 metres from a wall. Put the lights on main beam. Then measure the distance between the brightest part of the lights on the wall. It needs to be the same as point 1 above. Then measure the height. It needs to be the same as point 2.

Unfortunately all the levels on the ground adjacent to walls around my house are wrong so I just adjusted the beam height adjuster (at the bottom of the headlight) until oncoming motorists stopped flashing me ! Job done Thumbs Up

Easiest way to set them up is take it to a garage and part with a tenner to get them to do it for you. 100% accurate!
