2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 DCPU Orkney Grey

Orkney Grey 110 Double Cab

Well after always wanting a 110 and having finally deciding a couple of weeks ago what it was I wanted, I decided a double cab would suit my needs better than a utility wagon, plus I think they look the dogs .... .

Part exchanged the 90 in for an Orkney Grey 110 and a couple of weeks later here she is..

Thought I better take the photo outside the dealers seen as she will never be that clean for a while with the state the roads are in around here.

Brought her from Mark at Stratstone Newcastle, the service we got from the dealers was 110% spot on, they found the truck in double quick time for us and they couldn't do enough for us. They were very good at keeping me in the picture while we were sorting it out and yesterday was a lovely smooth transaction and swap over. With Tony and Mark who are top chaps and their passion for Defenders (and the rest of the LR fleet) shines through, nice to buy a defender off people who truly understand them.

Drove about 60miles in her yesterday and loved every minute. Going from a base 90 HT with 7.50 XZLs on to a LWB XS really is a massive jump in comfort, makes it even more fun to drive. Maybe the little Red 90 had a bit more character but the 110 is a lot more practical and looks a lot better.

Got a truckman top coming to keep the dogs safe in the back, and a few other little modifications to make for now (swing away wheel carrier, A-Bar with spots..) and then time to leave it alone, enjoy it and let the bank account recover!! Oh and of course a couple of defender2.net stickers on her.

Haha well while it's new they are condemned to the back, they are not happy though, they are used to being in the heated hard top!

Killer, I though I wouldnt like the back but I agree with you, I think I looks lovely. Already brought a truckman for a bit more security so hopefully that will look good as well...

certainly need the security, have you seen the metal cage i think its patriot or hannibal that do it for d/c canvas there very smart and allow you to still have the canvas

Added the leather from FCX today, quality product and looks very subtle and a nice touch for a XS. It was dark when I finished so will get photos tomorrow. Also added the mud-uk glove box, good idea but only really handy for a pair or two of sunglasses, keeps the safe and unsquashed though. Very happy with both the products.
