Any signs of a higher than max oil level or diesel in the oil ?

Doesn't the ECU control shut down?
So you turn the key off, but the ECU might wait a few seconds for some sensors to fall into range before allowing the engine to ![]() |

Yes but if there is fuel in the oil it doesn't matter what the ECU tells the injectors there will still be combustion. A similar effect can be seen on some diesel engines if they are allowed to run upside down for any length of time. My experience of a 2.8 Boxer van in this position was not pleasant |

Did you turn off the air con first?
Mine runs like half second more due to the ac compressor, but if I turn it off before turning off the engine, alls well. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At �125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island. |
