Test driving TD5 110, what should I look/listen out for?
My local garage has a TD5 110 (dark blue) van or SW, not sure. If I went for a test drive, what should I look & listen out for?

Any "normal" handling quirks I should be aware of? I have never driven a LWB Defender/Series before.

Its about £4750. What would you want for that price? Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Before taking a test drive get down on the ground and have a very good look underneath and check the chassis, look out for rusted rear cross member, outriggers, and front dumb irons. The mechanical bits are fairly easy and cheap to repair a rotten chassis is not ! 2005 Td5 90 XS

whining noise when the ignition is turned on, is the fuel passing through- if its loud and constant could be injector seals on there way out or even a fuel pump Thumbs Up CSK Automotive
