They must have changed the material cos my 90's headlining is a material that will never sag, its a hard finish, not a soft material. It's sort of a wipe clean finish, but padded. 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

Can I be a pain and ask about the stereo fitting? is it part of the lining or a din tray type set up/ I would rather not obstruct the vents when i fit one. Good things come to the wild and free |

It's part of the headlining; you get a stereo mount up top by the rear view mirror, and speaker mounts just above the b-pillar near your head.

I gave up on regluing mine after a few attempts because it was too badly ripped. My temporary solution was to just pull off the remaining covering material, brush the crumbled foam dust off the moulded substrate, and paint it in-situ. Worked surprisingly well, and you had to look much harder than any sane person looks at a headlining to notice what it was.
Five years later after much mud splashed on it and marks from crap carried in the back, I've just redone it with some of Dulux's finest kitchen and bathroom paint in a very fetching slate grey! Yes, I know I am a tightwad, but I have a V8 to feed ![]() CLS 350 CDI for the sensible stuff |

pormpaul - you can get those map pockets from leeds on this forum (4x4 overlander.com) or mudstuff - both excellent companies to deal with

you can either use short self tapper screws or you could ease the headlining down and bolt with a spreader washer.
i wouldn't want to carry anything heavy up there for fear of it breaking loose and gravity taking over. But you should be fine down under as you are already upside down ![]() |

My fix only lasted a couple of months, probably due to the glue I was using, spray latex adhesive. Although it would probably have lasted longer if I'd have used it over a wider area.
What glues do folk suggest? Chris. http://shropshirelandrovers.freeforums.org 2015 Defender 90 XS SW & Helen, 1964 IIa. Previously 2012 Defender 90 XS SW & 2008 90 XS SW. Previous LR's: Michael, my 2008 Defender 90 XS SW. Machinas oportet intrare non capsicum annuum faveo |

My rear lining was sagging, I fixed the problem by attaching the rear map light backing plate to the roof, there is a metal channel running lengthways just for this purpose (probably) no more sagging
