I got one of these a while back and it stopped working after 2 months, the LED is still lit, but I cannot connect.

The Torque website seems to suggest that these ebay cheapy bluetooth adapters are a bit hit and miss. Unfortunately, the ones they do recommend are around £200.

I wouldn't recommend a garage outfit using these, but for the occasional user, thats 20x £10 ones for the same price. Can't see going through 20 of them in my lifetime. Mr. Green Craig Rogers

This looks great but I have an older 1999 td5 I'm guessing it won't work with that?

It won't work for any live data from the TD5, the standard codes may be able to be read but that is it.

the wifi ones work better with iphone (unless you have a jailbroken one) as the iphone bluetooth is very restricted.

Mine arrived today but I don't seem to be able to connect to it. Big Cry

I am using an HTC phone and torque pro on an 07 Puma. With the interface device in the socket and the ignition on, I get a "paired but not connected" status from the Bluetooth manager and torque says that it isn't connected to the OBDII device. Nothing I do seems to make a working connection.

Any ideas anyone? Faulty device? Faulty socket?

I did try it also on my 02 Td5 Disco knowing it may not work but thinking it should at least power the device and allow pairing but it is exactly the same as on the Puma.

Any help gratefully received, thanks.

Ok, cancel the SOS! Just fiddled about some more and it's started working. I didn't do anything different and I suspect it may have been caused by a poor connection in the socket or something like that.

A great little tool for £13 or so!

I had the same issue.

You must go into Torque > Settings > Device and then select the device, which must already be paired with your phone. --

Yeah, the Td5 is a funny one. AFAIK, only the Hawkeye and Nanocom work with it. --
