Ive got 16 x 8 Black Modular wheels just. Offset of 0, or ET00. With 265/75/16 BFG Mud Terrain tyres. Standard height suspension, arches standard everything. In my opinion. Its the perfect sizing. Going into lots of detail here only because nobody else did when i was looking to find the perfect size of rim. Offset is everything. Very Happy
Will put up pictures now.[/list]

Summer setup:
Standard LR steel rims with standard Michelin Latitude Cross 7,5 X 16 as it came from factory.
1) Very quiet
2) Very good on wet
3) Flexible sides so more comfortable
4) It might sound strange for some but I like the look of the narrow tire. Reminds me of some camel trophy videos and older LRs

Winter setup:
Wolf rims with Cooper STTs 235/85 X 16
1) Very good for mud and fresh snow
2) Very bad for ice but I carry snow chains in that case
3) Very durable on rocky roads with sharp stones (we have many here)

I'll have a measure for you tonight, I took a cut off saw to my chain so that I had exactly the right length to avoid it moving and damaging the rim. Nick

Before ordering I would suggest you use a piece of rope to ensure length is right. Chain will not follow curves as tightly as rope.

Also different tyre sizes and different wheel carriers will affect the length of chain required, so a double check is worth doing!

Hi Mike,
funny, I have not the same advies !
if I was happy with them on my RRC dim 205/80-16, I have the feeling with them on my defender that they are very very uncomfortable.
seems better with under pressure (1.9bar front and 2.1 rear ) but I am not sure that it is a good idea regards to security !
today the pressure is 2.1bar front and 2.5 rear
