you say you haev a vibration at low revs, I got the gear lever swinging some 2cm left and right between 2000 and 3000. Just putting one finger slight on top of it it stops. Any idea what that can be?

mines the same, presumed it was pretty normal in a Defender? Finger on stops it so I feel its normal vibration with a Puma diesel. 90 XS

Check this thread. On mine I had a gear stick vibration when the gearbox was warm, stopped by gentle pressure on the base of the gear stick. Tightened up the weights and no problems over past 20,000 miles.

I used nylon cable ties to fix the loose weights. Worked so far. Thumbs Up LANDYWATCH

I have slipped some thin cardboard pieces behind the weights. No more vibrations.
