Well last week, actually
Went to Torridon, Applecross and Shieldaig with all the toys (sea kayak's on the roof, MTB's in the back): Click image to enlarge My Defender's in lower left of photo with Kayak's on roof. Stunning scenery! Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Picked the 110 up after having a new door fitted - still leaks
Yesterday had a big pallet delivered with 5 new wheels and tyres on Sat in the living room at the moment, hopefully being fitted to the 90 at the weekend. Oh, and a smaller box delivered from Leeds (Brendan) with a spare wheel carrier in. Done about 800 miles in the last week and a bit since it had it's last bit of warranty work. It's had the ECU software updated and a new gear lever and linkage to stop the gear lever rattle. It's completely transformed it! Smooth gear changes and the engine seems to run a lot smoother too with hardly any transmission backlash or clunking, it's almost effortless to drive now!
And the last few fill ups I've got just over 30mpg! All good in the world of Big Black! |

In the Lakes today and I was flagged down by French tourists in three Land Rovers wanting to know where the green lanes were. I ended up doing Parkamoor, Grizdale Forest, Tilberthwaith and Ikelthwaite lanes with them. A good day was had by all, photos to follow

I'd say that judging by the cleanliness of the engine bay versus the engine itself then the engine was going in?????
Was it a 200/300 Tdi going into your G plate? James |
