No a SAAB 96 Darren Wink Nothing ordinary about that, quirky kooks, free wheeling gearbox, column gearchange, even had heated seats going back to 1972 as standard, they even thought front wheel drive was odd at the time but today.... Whistle

Slam the door on a SAAB 96 Matt, it will dispel your doubts Wink Check out the weight of the SAAB in comparison Shocked They were always heavy and extremely well built but they payed the price as they need 500cc more than their rivals to push the thing. E.g. 2 litre SAAB 99 was comparable with a tinnier 1.6 Escort.

Strictly speaking, it's a hybrid as the running gear is Porsche 944 - with ABS rated to 200 BHP Wink

I do know what you mean though. I have always drooled at the older Saabs - the design and features left all else standing Thumbs Up
