I guess this is a TD5? The loom from the injectors needs replacing. I took the ecu out and let it drain for a couple of days and then cleaned it with some pcb circuit board cleaner, it comes in a spray can probably avalible from Maplins. I then cleaned the plug and loom under the seatbox with brake cleaner and gave it plenty of time to dry. I also found I had to clean the plug and loom for a few days after as the oil keeps coming.

Remove the orange seal from the ecu end plug for a few weeks after cleaning and any left in should run out slowleyand not just sit sealed at the lowest point inside the plug connector.

well got up nice and early this morning and removed the injectors one by one fitting the new o-rings and copper washers then fitted the new injector loom am gooing to find the manual tommorow and check the setings to the injectors as on my past td5 soemone had cahnged them and when put back to how they should be it released some torque from somewhere
so whats next do i take the fuel regulator off and change all the seals in it or is it best left alone until it goes wrong ? kind regards steve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs 3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |
