How are these RAI's fixed? are they a "no-drill" fitment?
Cheers. |

I've currently got a very battered Mantec Plastic Jobby. (Until I fit a roll cage and get a Southdown...) Peter

I've got a Mantec plastic jobby which is great except for the brackets going rusty. Still I guess it matches the mud flap brackets.

Mantec seems to be the flavour in favour.
Is the Landrover one similar money? Almost looks identical to me. 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

No, the LR one is £350ish or there abouts Brackets rusting isn't much to worry about just either re-paint properly before fitting or remove them and do it. Most of the time it's because they're not painded/ coated properly in the first place |

Recently i fitted the military type steel powder coated snorkel to my puma 110. I removed the original LR extender from the snorkel to the air cleaner box and bought a flexible rubber pipe to fix as suggested by my guarage man. But now I feel I did the wrong thing by removing the orginal extender as the finish is look rubbish!
My question is that can you really fix the snorkel to the existing extender with no air leak? Many thanks for any suggestions guys! |

Just a thought.......was reading LRO about a bloke with a disco 4. Car was still under warranty and he didn't want to worry about LR saying 'yea or nay' to claims with non LR bits on it. Thoughts on an engine breathing item like the snorkel and problems if the engine lunches itself with say a Mantec snorkel on it? 1951 80" S1 2.0

Just bought the Mantec plastic jobby.
I can figure out how to properly seal it on the outside but what work needs to be done on the inside of the wing to properly seal it from the inner side of the wing to the engine. Any instructions or guide lines available? Thanks, |

I'd worry about sealing up the electrics under the seat first, fitting a snorkels fine until you decide to go wading and get stuck in the river, no bow wave = car full of water including electrics. Of course if it's just for looks then fine. Original Member Pie n Pea Club. 110 HCPU Tipper |
