Oh I think they do try Duckworth parts if nothing else you will get free delivery I bought mine from them when mine went on my old truck
Again though make sure it's the right one as they do vary but Duckworth should sort it with the chassis number It's not that bas a job to do just make sure your tank is nearly empty Stve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs 3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit ashcroft atb in transfer box 6 speed auto in build |

My pump became noisy suddenly, and it was the injector washers.
Worth considering |

As above-check injector seals first

I presume that injector seals make the noise emanate from the engine bay, faulty pump from underneath the tank? Is this correct? 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

I think the injector seals let air pass through the pipe, leading to air getting sucked through the pump, making funny noises. I think.... ![]() ![]() |

Yep, that's it.
Failed seals allow air in the system, so pump is noisy as is circulating aerated fuel. |

Also check the gauze filter that is part of the pressure regulator, if that is blocked with sediment it will give the same symptoms. Richard

New set of seals ordered.
Also, just in case, a Bearmach pattern pump (£99). If we need to use it, I'll report back here. Thanks for your help and suggestions. ![]() ![]() |

The only pumps worth buying are the Genuine Part or the VDO (OEM) pumps. Anything else will just about last the warranty period. Not too much of an issue with a Discovery as access is easy, but not so easy on a Defender.
If the pump is noisy, chances are it is about to fail. Listen to the pump running during a purge cycle. Ignition on and press the accelerator pedal down 5 time. The amber MIL will flash on the instrument pack. Pump will run cycles. If the pump is noisy through the cycle, it probably needs replacement. |

Thanks for the suggestion.
We have a Discovery hatch plate which will be fiited at the same time. Wouldn't risk a pattern pump otherwise. ![]() |
