Driving Position
Went for a fairly long drive at the weekend, i'm finding my right arm fairly restricted, just a thought would a smaller steering wheel and the mud seat rails make much difference. Fitted the soft door handles from mud which did help with the door pull digging into my leg, pictures of alternative steering wheels would be good ,thanks Jay

yep done both the rails and the wheel. No need for the handles though.

Hi, have both wheel (Momo) and mud rails. Found it a much better driving position. Being higher and further back meant I had less of an elbow to window interface, helped by the wheel moving the arm inwards a bit.....well thats what I thought Smile
Best to find one with the mods and try it !

yes much better.

when searching try putting the phrase in quotes "momo wheel" for example

Its never really bothered me too much, and never got round to changing the wheel on any previous puma's until recently

Changing to a Momo wheel, made a big difference,,more space, less wheel input,,,, should have done it ages ago California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

Interesting comment TJ, I had always assumed that a Momo would bring the wheel further into your chest because of the boss? Interesting to hear that isn't the case. Nick

On my Td5 I fabricated my own seat rails lifting the seat up 2" and enabling the seat to go back further. I have since moved the seat over by about an inch away from the door and it seems to work well. There are pictures on another thread on this forum.

Replaced my 110 2010 wheel to Momo and my chair to Recaro, made the ride much more bearable.
I also ordered a 7cm Cubby Box alloy Lift Kit from Landrovertuning to give my arm a place to rest.

Is it just me that doesn't need rails, lifts, smaller steering wheels and door handles Rolling Eyes

I am 6' and I sit with the seat one notch from the very back, my knee doesn't hit the door handle or dash and I find it very comfortable. You will always get restricted movement with you right arm but you get used to that after a couple of days.

Right getting paranoid I have short legs now, where's the tape Laughing
