Is it possible to have an oil leak free TD5 ?
Is it possible to have an oil leak TD5 ? So far I have:

Rear output seal on the transfercase (replaced seal twice)
Oil leak from around the oil filter area
Oil leak from the front cam seal(depsite changing this and using gasket sealant)
Slight weep from rocker gasket (again despite using a Genuine seal and gasket sealant and torquing to correct figure in correct sequence it still leaks. Time for a new seal again) 1999 Defender TD5 110

Have you checked your crankcase breather isn't blocked?

I had a TD5 Discovery. Owned from new for 187,000 miles in 9 years. Mostly road-use with some greenlanes (and a lot of travelling in heavy snow).

I only had 4 leaks.

2 x transfer box output shaft (can't remember whether front or back, I think they both failed once each).
1 x driver's side diff housing (rear)
1 x rear diff input seal

Other than that it was dry (well, dry enough not to spot the drive) throughout...

In all instances my Indie sorted them for a reasonable price when the vehicle was serviced... Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

I hope its not too much to ask for 'a non oil leaking landy' nevermind the leak from the Alpine windows, which likes to drip on my knee, the leaking rear sliding windows. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I've had the leaky FPR and leaky cylinder - replaced with a new AMC one. Not a cheap job!

Front cam seal has been done twice 1999 Defender TD5 110
