One advantage of decent sized tanks is I drive to the next fuel station.

It's really usefull to be able to buy crumpets in a petrol station these days......

Back in the the old days when we used to sell fan belts, spark plugs, oil filters, light bulbs, nuts, bolts etc we must have got it all wrong....

I used to work in an Amoco garage (long Long time ago) we worked on the forecourt filling cars up and did essential repairs, changed tyres, fitted wiper blades etc for free. I even made customers mugs of tea sometimes. Can you imagine the staff in a f**kwit bean cafe knowing which end of the latte machine to use to fit a fan belt.

It is the demise of the real garages that now permits Halfords to sell wiper blades at ridiculous prices and charge for fitting them.

Rant over

Strangely enough unlike some here I don't feel the urge to spout forth about everything which appears on Def2 but I would like to stick a few Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up and perhaps even a Bow down to Pam's observations Wink

Still, better go, I see a fly has had the nerve to land on my 110 so I suppose I ought to get into the spirit and shoo it away and inspect the coachwork for damage. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades.
Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW.

[Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc]

Rolling with laughter Just noticed the grumpy posts about threads on polish....Jesus Rolling Eyes That's the good thing about forums it's a mix of people with different interests and in this case some aren't interested in cleaning/polishing there vehicles and some are... many reasons for this of course but no need to get grumpy about it folks. It's just people enjoying their Defenders in their own way Thumbs Up

Best thing is to have one for each Very Happy One for work which doesn't matter, I've only cleaned my 109 once (when I first got it) in the last 3 years - whats the point. And one you can keep nice, unscratched and take a different kind of pride in.

Chill out and just enjoy them Thumbs Up

"Zag Almighty" sounds better Laughing Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
