Thinking wading depth is due to the air intake for the engine, not for the electronics/electrics.

Not to mention water entering the fuel tank vent pipe beneath the rear wheel arch

land rover insisted that the ECU in the engine compartment was water proof until they emptyed it of all the welsh water I had smuggled across the boarder
![]() the big issue with the alternator is mud, best advice seems to WD 40 before and after, killed two alternators in the first two years, but non since, funny how things change when your warrenty runs out ![]() Mark |

have a close look in the underseat boxes especially in the corners ... more holes than an aero
![]() mines all filled now i have sealed batteries... although interestingly the genuine LR battery had a breather pipe that poked outside the box.... not sure if thats good or bad for wading ![]() |

i think we were wading around the LR max on the wales weekend. No issues and sitting in the stream washed the chasiis clean
