Try driving 100 miles of unsurfaced tracks at speed with no load in the back and you will find out why land rover dont fit as standard.

Landrover do give you a choice when you purchase, ie HD springs upgrade for those who need it.

I have the Bearmach HD springs on my Discovery and they are a dream on unsurfaced tracks. I would even say that it is better than the standard 'soft' suspension. I will be upgrading mine in the future (once warranty is out). When I did my time in the jungle in Belize, I would kill for the old Bedford truck which had rock solid suspension compared to the newer Daf trucks that had softer suspension. Glyn |

After fitting after market shocks and springs on my prev puma I was quite surpised at how well the stock setup works on dirt road conditions. Sure you can feel it's a softer ride but for me it's perfect as I rarely load up my 90. I think I'm going to leave the setup as is. I have a sneaky feeling that the after market setup on my prev puma was a contributing factor for the faulty 3 front diffs & 2 rear diffs. Let's see, only time will tell. Land Rover's don't leak oil, they simply mark their territory!

Zinke to be honest id rather drive with this set up than standard on unsurfaced tracks you would as well if there was two of us out and you was in a rig with standard set up and then jumped in mine and felt the difference believe me iv noticed the difference when driving over cobbles the rig with standard set up used to rattle to bits now nothing so much smoother NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY.
