FFS we have had a small amount of snow and it has taken me over 30 minutes to get home all of 2 miles!
Why? 7.5 tonner not going up a steep hill and cars sliding all over the place. So a quick divert up a local green lane and onto the main road. Quickly everything had ground to a halt? Cars coming other way at 30 degrees to direction of travel. Gritter went pass with a nice bright amber flasher lights. Not doing any good as the council was saving money by not gritting. Main problem a ferking BMW 11 plate going nowhere fast up a slight incline!! So first sign of poor weather our roads grind to a halt! Brendan |
