You haven't seen anything yet Stu, it's her birthday next week... Elektra that is... the Defender She will be one year old and the kids are throwing her a party, any excuse for cake Why do I say this on a public forum (kids keep trying to throw parties for there cuddly toys as they no cake will be involved. They heard the Defender was one year old after it's first service so hey, they're not stupid and this IS a party I will allow ) Shame your not around for the Salisbury Plain trip this weekend mate! |

If cake is involved then its acceptable! This weekend is the wifes birthday, oddly she seemed unimpressed with the thought of a trip across the Plain vs dinner and a show in London Stu |

Zag's Defender makes me realise how much I'm neglecting mine at the moment. It's starting to look a bit nasty underneath now
Need to pull my finger out and get it sorted! |

No, muddy sarnies and cold flask coffee won't cut it Stu
Warren, don't want my singularly Defender targeted OCD to make anyone feel guilty. Err when are you doing it, can I help, I won't do much, can I bring my own cloths, OK to start at 5.00 am, OK to strip it all off and do it all again, can work following day if you like also.... Kidding |

Haha it was always my intention to keep on top of it. I waxoyled it when I first got it, pressure washed the chassis once a week, etc. Then the pressure washer died, so I spent about a fiver a week down at the petrol station using theirs, but then I never had enough change so it ended up just being once a month when I'd do the chassis... Now it's every once in a blue moon. Then I went skiing through a wall and mangled the bumper and wing....
I did treat it to a full service before Christmas though! But feel free to help if you like, I'll supply all biscuits and brews, and can provide endless hours of Land Rover talk and games of fetch with a Labrador |

Hey Zag
You're missing a trick by cleaning your engine bay like that. There is so much mud from Salisbury Plain and other offroad adventures in my engine bay that I have planted carrot seeds in there and just harvested my first crop Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

Zag, when cleaning The Tank (our 110) with my little son I came round from one side of the Def to the other to find him dipping a dirty trowel into the suds and furiously scrubbing the car with it. I love all those battle scars and bramble scratches, stone chips and dirt. I leave sparkling clean to you because I can't compete!

SEB sounds like Bobs motor would be better for your son to wash with all the carrots he has growing in it If he likes picking mushrooms I have a few growing in the back of the 109 |
