I am taking my 110 for it's first service tomorrow and was wondering about the air filter! I fitted a Safari Snorkel but I'm pretty sure I left the air filter in place
![]() It's this one http://www.safarisnorkel.com/snorkel/ss581hf/ss581hf.htm |

I'm talking about the wing air filter, do pay attention at the back! How do you replace it from inside or should I have taken the filter out before fitting the Snorkel? Anyone know or got fitting instructions! Ta. |

I have a nasty feeling I should have removed the filter before fitting the snorkel

Yes there is a filter the same shape as the side wing hole, I don't think it should be there with the Snorkel on as I can't see any easy way of replacing it from inside the wing. Unless someone who knows otherwise I think I could be having fun and games getting it back out again i.e. base of Snorkel will need unscrewing or more likely the whole snorkel will need to come off altogether to get it out

No filter behind the wing plate on mine (2009 110).
Just frozon my doo dahs off going out to the garage to double check in my box of 'bits removed' and just the plastic plate. Of course land Rover may have forgotten to fit it ![]() All the dealer does at service time is replace the filter in the air box - if they can be bothered ![]() Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |
